January 30, 2014 at the Law Institute had been held the second stage of speech contest "Word of Ukraine" dedicated to the Day of Unity of Ukraine. Students of secondary schools № 46, 26, 230, 319, special schools number 85, 98, and 159 students of medical and pharmaceutical college in Kyiv participated in the event.
Participants showed their public speaking in two stages of the competition. In the first round the contestants made speeches on the proposed in advance topic "The Word of Ukraine", which highlighted the issues of historical and cultural heritage of our people and faith in a better future of our country, the role of every citizen in the establishment of the rule of law, honoring the memory of famous genius Ukrainian state Taras Shevchenko. According to the results of this phase were selected six finalists who went on to further competition, giving an answer to the question "The future of Ukraine in the eyes of the young citizen". The winners of the competition were students of Specialized school № 159 - Olga Trofimchuk (first place), Secondary school № 26 - Victoria Pekareva (second place), a specialized school № 98 - Daniel Vebs (third place). Conducted speech contest had proved the indifferent attitude of the younger generation to the fate of his native land, its people, understanding their role in the formation of Ukraine's future, you want to build, of course, starting with ourselves.
