The postgraduate tribune |
During the academic year, postgraduate students who complete their research systematically test the results of their dissertation research. The Graduate Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law constantly provides opportunities for such processes by involving applicants in scientific events held at the School of Law and other external scientific events, including those held under the Erasmus+ programme.
Another opportunity was provided to postgraduate students during a sectional meeting of the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law on 17 May 2024, which was a logical continuation of the VІI International Youth Scientific Legal Forum dedicated to the Day of Science, which is held annually at the School of Law.
Postgraduate students of different years of study had the opportunity to discuss current issues of law enforcement in the context of each student's dissertation research and how they are regulated by law. Particular attention was paid to the proposals of the dissertation students on reforming the legislation and the peculiarities of its application in wartime.
The event was attended by the guarantor of the ONP, Doctor of Law, Professor Yurii Kuniev, PhD in Law, Head of the Department, and PhD supervisors Liudmyla Shapenko, PhD in Law, Associate Professor, Head of the Department, and Iryna Ustynova, PhD in Law, Associate Professor, Head of the Department.
Applicants of the third (educational and scientific) level of higher education tested the results of their dissertations, noting that such tribunes provide an opportunity to get acquainted with the work of other applicants, which expands the horizon of scientific activity of young scientists and enriches the diversity of views when writing dissertations.
At the same time, postgraduate students are actively involved in the implementation of 2 state budget themes of the Department: 1) "Ensuring the Constitutional Rights of Citizens in the Context of Ukraine's Convention Obligations", state registration number 0119U103091; 2) "Human Centredness of Public Law of Ukraine", research work No. 53-2022_/_13.01.02_).
Participation in the above topics resulted in the preparation and publication of 2 monographs:
1. Ensuring the Constitutional Rights of Citizens in the Context of Ukraine's Convention Obligations: a collective monograph / I.M. Sopilko, Y.L. Yurynets, Y.D. Kunev et al. Kyiv: Liudmyla Publishing House, 2022. 324 p., ISBN 978-617-555-063-2).

Among the scientific achievements of graduate students in 2023-2024 are 22 articles in professional scientific journals of category "B" and 58 abstracts in conferences of various levels, including 7 held at the NAU.
The prospect of combining the scientific potential of young scientists is to expand the types of work of the Scientific Society of Students and Postgraduates of the Faculty of Law, which has been systematically operating at the Faculty for a long time.
