December 11, 2013 at the Law Institute had been held the contest "The smartest freshman - 2013". The hall gathered the best freshmen to compete with knowledge of the subjects they have already learn in six months.
The competition consisted of three rounds, where took part 8 freshmen. The fight was exciting and tense. Their fellow classmates, senior students, mentors and teachers came to support the participants. Knowledge and intelligence of students was assessed by a jury consisting of: Director of Law Institute Irina Sopilko, Deputy Director for Science Rostislav Kalyuzhnyy, deputy director of scientific and technical work of Vadim Vyshnovetskoho, Deputy Director for the wok with students Nina Trotsyuk, head of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law Ivan Borodin, and Associate Professor of Department of Theory and history of State and Law Natalia Pylhun. In the first round the jury by variable survey assessed students' knowledge of the theory and history of law, constitutional law, Latin, history of Ukraine. The second round passed six freshmen, and there were only 3 participants in the final. All finalists gave rapid answers to the question in terms of "History of Ukraine ", "Foreign Literature", "Misc" in the third round. During the hard fight the winners are: first place - Louise Vyelikyan (Group PR -102), second place - Alex Triukhan (Group PR -102), third place - Ivan Yakymenko (Group PR- 102).
