In the beginning of November the capital of Ukraine plunged into the atmosphere of «a holiday with tears in the eyes » as seventy years ago, on a cold autumn day, on November 6, 1943, Soviet troops liberated the city from the capture. On the day of the Liberation of Kiev students of PR-202 Law Institute, decided to unite with citizens and honour the dead and the living veterans of Great Patriotic war, who liberated our land from the “Brown plague». Future lawyers and their mentor Yulia Beluga visited the monument called «Motherland» - a symbol of victory in the Great Patriotic war.
In the heart of the monument there is Great Patriotic war Museum with the exhibition of citizens, who gave their lives for the victory in the Great Patriotic war ,for the liberation of his native city and also Ukraine from occupation. During a guide's lecture, the students found out that, since 2006, in the Memorial complex stores all the case with notifications about the death of the soldiers, which were transferred by the military registration and enlistment offices for further study. The result of long standing work by the scientists of the Museum was the basis of the book «Kiev notification address of death». The same name has an exhibition devoted to the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Kiev from fascist occupation. Among the materials presented at the exhibition - documents, manuscripts, drawings, photographs and letters, the remains of weapons from the battlefield near Kiev city. November 6, 2013 mentor of group PR-403 Vitaly Belousov held a conversation with the students on the topic: «History of the liberation of Kyiv in the period of the Great Patriotic war». During the event, Vitaly Belousov focused on the events that took place on the battle in Kiev in October, 1943, revealed the distinctive features of the Kiev strategic operation: the courage of purpose and determination offensive combat skills of commanders and staffs at all levels, great experience in organizing and conducting large-scale military offensive operations. At the end of the event the students observed a minute of silence in remembrance of Ukrainians who made a valuable contribution for the victory above Nazi Germany and its allies. Also, 6 November students of PR-404 and their mentor Anna Grabovska visited the graves of the fallen soldiers near the obelisk of Glory in Kiev city. At the tomb of the Unknown soldier students honored the memory of millions who died for the liberation of the Ukrainian land and compatriots killed in the occupied territory, in the concentration camps, Nazi prison and laid flowers on their graves. Day of the Liberation of Kiev from fascist occupation is a distinctive and memorable. It is our pride for deeds of liberators who, thanks to their courage and selfless love to the Motherland, all the forces sometimes as the cost of his own life, to bring closer the day of liberation of Ukraine from fascist occupation.
