To celebrate the 68th anniversary of the establishment of the United Nations, Student Government of Law Institute organized an exhibition of wall newspapers. On October 24 the international community celebrates UN Day. This day is the anniversary of the adoption of the UN Charter - a document that describes all the goals and directions of the work of this organization.
For Ukraine, this day is very special. Our country currently signed eight key international treaties and UN conventions on human rights and together with 188 other countries, supported and took an obligation to implement the Millennium Declaration and the Millennium Development Goals, that were adopted by the UN General Assembly. The UN is known even in the most remote corners of the planet. Well-known successes of the United Nations in such areas as peacekeeping and humanitarian aid. Activities of the UN is multifaceted and covers a wide range of important issues from sustainable development and the fight against terrorism, democracy, global health challenges to maintaining and strengthening peace, international security and development between the countries of the world. Through a variety of activities to the UN Day, the future lawyers have the opportunity to learn more about the activities of the organization.
