On December 04th, 2017, an assistant of Department of Theory and History of State and Law of Educational and Research Institute of Law Liudmyla Shapenko together with the students of groups PR-204 Anna Caesar, PR-104 Katerina Myrovskaya and Marina Lavrenchuk held a conversation called "Human rights in a Constitutional State" with senior pupils of school № 308 of Desnianskyi district in Kiev.
This meeting took place within the celebration of Ukrainian Law Week with the aim to form the respect for legal values, broadening the legal worldview and raising the level of legal culture of the younger generation, which underlie the development of a strong democratic and constitutional state. During the conversation, Liudmyla Shapenko and the students considered the main provisions of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948, their implementation in the Constitution of Ukraine, as well as the mechanism for the protection of human rights and freedoms in a constitutional state. At the end of the event a legal brain-ring was held between the 11th grade pupils, which allowed future graduates not only to test their knowledge, but also to chose future profession for some of them.
