During October 9-12th, 2017 Ganna Grabovska, the associate professor of the Department of Civil Law and Trial of the Educational and Research Law Institute, held thematic meetings with senior pupils of comprehensive secondary schools in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv, in particular: specialized secondary school of I-III levels with in-depth study of English and German language N 189, secondary schools N 147, N 192 and Gymnasium N 39 named after Bogdan Khmelnytskyi.
The purpose of the meetings was to familiarize students with the content of the rules governing the rights of a child at the international and national levels. During the meetings Ganna Grabovska focused the attention of senior pupils on the basic provisions of the Convention on the Rights of a Child. After all, the problem of the right protection of the family and childhood has long been the focus of the international community, and children need special attention because of their vulnerability, physical and mental immaturity. He also acquainted students with the legislation of Ukraine on the protection of childhood, emphasizing the expansion of social and legal guarantees of children, ensuring the physical, intellectual, cultural development of the younger generation, created socio-economic and legal institutions in order to protect the rights and legitimate interests of a child in Ukraine. At the end of the event, the pupils were introduced to the activities of the Educational and Research Law Institute of the National Aviation University.
