March 29, 2017 in the Educational Scientific Law Institute held a round table on the topic: "Prevention of Domestic Violence", organized by the Student Council of the Institute.
Irina Sopilko, Director of the Institute, Doctor of Law, Associate Professor, Professor of the Chair of Constitutional and Administrative Law, addressed the participants of the event with a speech that drew the attention of youth to the types of violence that are prevalent in Ukraine. The event was continued under the chairmanship of the Chairman of the Student Council Tatiana Lukashenko. During the round table, the concept of "domestic violence" was discussed, the types of violence were uncovered, the forms and consequences of psychological violence against the child were analyzed, ways of preventing domestic violence and the like were identified. In addition to interesting reports and presentations on the issues raised, representatives of the Student Council recited poems through which all present could feel all the pain and suffering that children and women receive in the course of violence. The event ended with the speech of Dmitry Bezzubov, Doctor of Law, Associate Professor, Professor of the Department of Economic, Air and Space Law, who outlined the range of legislative initiatives that parliamentarians have already developed and must work out in the future to overcome this social problem.
