March 17, 2017 the students of PR-303 Training and Research Institute of Legal accompanied Ph.D., assistant professor of criminal law and process Nazar Malyarchuk visited Holosiivskyi district court of Kyiv.
Students were given the opportunity to be present in criminal proceedings in the following articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, such as ch. 1, Art. 185 (theft), ch. 1, Art. 190 (fraud), ch. 1, Art. 309 (illegal manufacture, production, acquisition, storage, transportation or sending of narcotics, psychotropic substances or their analogues not for selling purposes). The cases under the relevant criminal offenses took place at the preparatory stage of the proceedings, during which students were able to fully experience the importance and complexity of the court and consolidate their theoretical knowledge received in furthering the study of discipline "Criminal proceedings". A special experience for the students had the criminal proceedings under Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, where the parties reconciled among themselves, and the accused was released from criminal liability and criminal proceedings have been closed by non-rehabilitating grounds. The event was another landmark event in the framework of planned department of criminal law and procedure, and contributed to the future in the minds of lawyers certified high understanding of the mission and authority of the courts in Ukraine.
