April 27, 2015 the students of the PR-202, together with the Law Institute mentor Julia Iurynets visited Holy Dormition Kiev-Pechersk Lavra.
Holy Dormition Kiev-Pechersk Lavra - one of the first monasteries of the Old Russian state, which was founded in 1051 by Yaroslav the Wise monk Antony and his disciple Theodosius. Prince Svyatoslav II Yaroslavich gave the monastery a plateau above the caves, where he later rose beautiful stone temples decorated with paintings, cells, towers and other structures. The architectural ensemble of Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, which was built for nearly nine centuries, has a unique artistic value and reflects the development of Ukrainian culture and spirituality, changing stylistic trends in art, the process of improving engineering designs. Of particular interest to students during the tour called Near and Far caves of Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, which are separated between a ravine and ridge of the mountain. The caves lie incorrupt relics of more than 200 saints, which according to the beliefs of many, endowed with healing power.
