An important direction of the work of teaching staff in modern conditions in higher education is participation in scientific activities. Thus, on the 3rd of March, 2015 the Senior Lecturer of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law Olena Makeeva took part in the round table, which was held at Kiev Regional Center of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine on the theme "The rights of forced migrants: fulfilment and protection (international and national experience)".
The event was organized with assistance of Institute of State and Law named after V.M. Koretsky and Kyiv National University named after Taras Shevchenko. The participants of the event were: the Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Yuriy Baulin, the colleagues of Institute of State and Law named after V.M. Koretsky of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the scientists from Kyiv National University named after Taras Shevchenko, the representatives form the Ministry of Justice and other public institution of Ukraine, legal media. During the round table the theme about establishment of the Coordinating Council of the Civil Society problems was discussed, whose chairman became the Head of the Department of Theory of State and Law of Institute of State and Law named after V. M. Koretsky NAS of Ukraine N. Onishchenko. Also the questions of the state's role in the mechanism of protection of rights of forced migrants, international and national experience to protect the rights of forced migrants were discussed.
