On November 22nd, 2014, before the Day of commemorating the victims of famishments, the student of PR-103 and PR-302 groups of the Law Institute and their tutors - Lyudmyla Shapenko and Yuliya Beluga visited the Memorial of Memory of Victims of Famishment in Ukraine.
During the excursion the students viewed the exhibits describing living conditions of peasants in the times of dispossession and forced collectivization, resulting in the mass famishment of the Ukraine population in 1932-1933. In their thoughts and prayers the visitors remembered everyone who has gone out like a candle in a cruel historical confrontation, died from torture and prematurely gone into eternity. After reviewing the National Book of Memory of Victims of Famishment in Ukraine, which contains information on 15 regions of Ukraine affected by the horrific genocide, almost all visitors found the information about their dead relatives and friends as well as other documents concerning those hard years. And the demonstrated video installation allowed visitors to feel an atmosphere of the terrible 30-s years by the language of documents, photos and film shots tells about the reasons, nature and consequences of the famishment. Visiting the museum made a big impression in the minds of young generation, now they know that famishment is a national tragedy affected everyone. Therefore, we need to honour the memory of those who died during the years of famishment, since just human memory is infinite book where everything is written by bloody and black colours: life of people and life of country...
