From 9th of September till 23rd of October in 2014 the Scientific-educational project on the theme ‘‘Ukraine today through the eyes of youth” held in the Law Institute. The head of the event was the Associate Professor, Ph.D., Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law Natalia Pylhun.
The purpose of this event was to highlight main directions and ways to form a civil society in today's conditions and determine legal framework affecting the implementation and protection of human rights in the modern Ukrainian society. All of the first-year students participated in the event, where every of the six groups independently chose the theme of the report, that were discussed in every group and the best of them were presented for all of the first-year students. To review and discuss the following topics were presented: “The manifestation of patriotism of the Ukrainian nation in today's conditions”, “Integration of Ukraine into the European space”, “ATO: concept, goal, objectives and nature of action”, “Ukrainian nation and its impact on the formation of the modern Ukrainian society”, “Ukraine is doomed to Win”, “The right on life as a fundamental value of a civil society”. Presentations were made by – the students of the group 101: Oleksands Hubenko and Elizaveta Lakhay; the students of the group 102: Dmitro Pidenko and Sergiy Tsymbalyuk; the students of the group 103: Diana Lysak and Yaroslav Pavlusha; the students of the group 104: Igor Kucherenko and Svyatoslav Kondratchuk; the students of the group 105: Andriy Bohatyuk and Anastasia Baz; the students of the group 106: Lilya Borysenko and Annyuta Shevchuk. As the result of the project participants summarized and conclusions about the system of the state and the manifestation of national identity in view of the events happening recently in Ukraine. There were formed the view that the establishment of the foundation of the Ukrainian nation is freedom of expression and people's patriotism to protect the sovereign, united Ukrainian state. This in turn suggests that Ukraine is the strong state and the spirit of the Ukrainian nation is invincible. Also, in general, the steps of the integration processes in the Ukrainian society and the impact on public awareness of the civil society in Ukraine were defined at the meeting.
