On September, 30 2014 the students of group 401 visited a unique monument of the ancient city fortress of Kyivska Rus - Golden Gates. It wasn’t a randomly chosen historical place, nowadays the construction of Golden Gates is considered to be an integral part of the capital city of Ukraine and its major symbol.
During the excursion future lawyers learned that the Golden Gates is a major landmark of the Ancient Kiev and historic gateway in the ancient city fortress which remains are preserved to the present. The monument to Yaroslav the Wise with the model of St. Sophia in his hands also was seen by the students with a great interest. On October, 1 the students of group 205 walked along Andriyivskyy Descent – Street-Museum, one of the main sights of Kyiv. They followed the footsteps of Prince Ihor, Mychailo Bulgakov, sculptor Ivan Kavaleridze and other famous people. Such cultural events help to form respect to the historical past of Ukraine, cultivate in modern youth national consciousness and feeling of patriotism that are topical problems in the time of creation of sovereign state.
