The Law Faculty Student Council is a student self-government authority which conducts independent social activity concerning realization of function of management of the University defined by the NAU Statute and in accordance with the Law Faculty Student Council purpose and tasks.
The Student Council purpose is:
1. Protection of rights and interests of the Law Faculty students. 2. Assistance in harmonious development of student personality. 3. Formation of future organizer and manager skills of each student. 4. Improvement of educational and educative process, high-quality education, upbringing of spirituality and culture of students, increase of social activity and responsibility of students for the entrusted task. 5. Discovery and realization of creative abilities of students and formation of the best moralities.
The Student Council tasks are:
- protection of rights and interests of the Law Faculty students; - forming of national conscience, dignity and self-respect of each student, pride for his/her Faculty and educational establishment; - promoting to the academic activity of students, their attraction to the research work, increase of education quality; - attraction of students to the direct participation in the state youth policy realization; - organizing of cooperation with students of other Facultys and youth organizations; - participation in solving of issue concerning international exchange of students; - control for keeping of the Rules of Internal Order of the National Aviation University, Code of Honour of the NAU Student; - coordination of activity of group commanders, control for observance of academic and labour discipline by students; - control for observance of the uniform wear rules by students, efficient reaction on their violation; - coordination of work of students with lecturers, academic group mentors, departments, deans of faculties, directorates of Facultys, university administration; - participation in division of scholarship fund and fund of social help for students; - creation of different student coteries, scientific societies, art unions, centres, clubs; - attraction of students to the artistic amateur performances; - organization and conducting of parties, contests, festivals, graduation parties, the Day of Faculty and other activity of cultural and entertaining, sporting and healthy character; - submitting of proposals concerning financial and moral encouragement of the Law Faculty students who have achievement in education, scientific research, public activity, work in the student self-government authorities; - assistance in settling of students to the hostels and their moving from there; - attracting of students to the labour activity in time off (jointly with the University administration); - propaganda of healthy lifestyle, prevention of committal of infringements, consummation of alcohol, drugs, smoking by students; - informing of students on issues related to their interests.
