December 12, 2013 at the Law Institute conducted a scientific and practical roundtable on "Suppression of Unlawful Acts against the Safety of Civil Aviation (the international legal aspect)".
The meeting discussed issues concerning the prevention of aircraft accidents in civil aviation (risk factors), ways to improve the criminal liability of transport, providing forensic investigation of aircraft accidents, counter-terrorism courts on civil aviation, the functional responsibilities of the flight crew to ensure the safety of passengers. Presentations were made by Galina Suslova - Head of the Institute of ICAO, deputy director of the Institute for International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), Professor, Honored Worker of Higher School of Ukraine, the coordinator of the implementation of standards ICAO National Aviation University; Sergei Kuzin - Head of aviation accidents prevention, analysis and statistics State Inspector of the Aircraft surveillance flight operation of the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine; Vyacheslav Matsishin - Ph.D., Senior Research Fellow, Professor of Criminal Law Teaching and Research Institute of Law and Psychology of the National Academy of Internal Affairs of Ukraine; Alexei Kapustinskiy - Executive Director of the All-Ukrainian Trade Union of pilots graduate YUI NAU; Makar Marchuk - Interdepartmental Research Center researcher on the fight against organized crime at NSDC; Konstantin Opak - Researcher Interdepartmental Research Center on the fight against organized crime at NSDC; Olesya Gorina - stewardess airport " Borispol ". The discussion was also attended by teachers of the Law Institute, graduate students, part-time students as well as graduates of previous years. Based on the discussion of problematic issues Suppression of Unlawful Acts against the Safety of Civil Aviation was decided to conduct activities aimed at ensuring the safety of civil aviation and international cooperation in this area of Ukraine.
