On May, 20th 2010 the Day of Science was held at the Institute of Air and Space Law and Mass Communication of the National Aviation University. Students and teaching staff will remember this holiday because many scientists, well-known not only in Ukraine but also abroad, visited it.
V. Kharchenko, Pro-rector on scientific work of the University, DSc. (Technics), Honoured worker of science and technology of Ukraine, Laureate of the State prize of Ukraine in the field of science and technology, professor, welcomed all guests. P. Borsuk, Pro-rector on external and distance study of the National Aviation University, PhD. (Technics), professor, drew attention of guests to the high scientific achievements of the IASL MC. Guests of the holiday had an interest in speech of O. Kopylenko, the Director of the Institute of Legislation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Dsc. (Law), professor, Corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, academician. V. Kostytsky, the Head of the National Expert Commission of Ukraine on Questions of Protection of Social Morals, DSc. (Law), professor, Corresponding member of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, told an audience about problems of state-making process and modern science tasks. I. Bogatyryov, the Rector of the Police Financial and Legal Academy, DSc. (Law), professor, raised one of the most important problems of researched work in criminal law, criminology and criminal executive law. O. Kuzmenko, DSc. (Law), professor of the Department of Administrative Law and Process of Kyiv National University of Internal Affairs, asked students to take active part in the scientific work and wished them success in this matter of great concern. N. Aniskova, private notary of Kyiv City Notarial District, DSc. (Philosophy in legal field) informed guests about special features of the modern notary service board of Ukraine. Graduating students of the University also visited this Day of Science. Thus, O. Radchenko, presently an adviser of the Head of the Kyiv Appellate Court, and A. Kombikova, presently a jurist of the legal group “Pavlenko and Poberezhnyuk”, made a report for guests. Unlike the reports of experienced scientists the reports of young jurists had great optimism and concrete proposals concerning improvement of financing of scientific activity in the field of law. A. Kochnyeva, second-year student, the Head of the Student Scientific Society, and R. Tsygan, fourth-year student, attracted an attention of teaching staff on behalf of the present students with the words of gratitude and whished all teachers great success in their scientific activity. P. Borsuk, Pro-rector on external and distance study of the National Aviation University, presented the diplomas and certificates to many teachers and students of the Institute, in particular: R. Tsygan (4 awards), R. Kontsevoy (4 awards), A. Gordiyenko (4 awards), Y. Chaika (3 awards), N. Veremchuk (3 awards) and T. Voyteshenko (2 awards). The holiday plenary meeting on the occasion of the Day of Science was finished by performing of song “Gaudeamus” – student anthem of youth, life and science which is well-known since XIII century.
