On June 11, 2024, as part of the professional introductory practice for first-year students of the Bachelor's degree program at the Faculty of Law, Sviatoslav Poznakhovskyi, a prosecutor and head of the department of procedural guidance, public prosecution support, and supervision of law enforcement by agencies combating organized crime in the department overseeing compliance with laws by the National Police of Ukraine and bodies fighting organized crime and crimes committed under conditions of armed conflict in the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, delivered a lecture on "The Organization and Activities of the Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine."
The prosecutor, with 12 years of experience in the prosecution service, provided a detailed characterization of the prosecutorial system, its functions, and historical development. He explained the procedure for occupying positions within these bodies and offered advice on building a legal career specifically within Ukrainian law enforcement agencies.
Responding to students' questions, the invited guest shared his experience in solving high-profile criminal cases in collaboration with the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine and presented statistics on the criminogenic situation in our country.
In conclusion, Mr. Sviatoslav noted that, thanks to such young, educated, and active legal professionals, he is confident in the bright future of Ukraine's law enforcement system, including the prosecutor's office.
