On June 6, 2024, first-year students of the Faculty of Law visited the Secretariat of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights during their professional introductory practice.
Educators had the opportunity to talk with the Head of the Department of Social and Economic Rights Monitoring, Svitlana Hlushchenko, who introduced them the structure of the Secretariat of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, the main directions of the institution's activities, the legally defined duties and powers of the Ombudsman of Ukraine.

As a result of the meeting, the students gained new knowledge about the history of the creation of the institution of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, the main areas of work over which parliamentary control is carried out, the legally established rights and duties of the Ombudsman, etc.
Visiting state institutions and communicating with representatives of state authorities contributes to raising the level of legal culture and legal awareness of young people, because the institution of the Ombudsman occupies an important place in the system of guarantees of human rights and freedoms. The experience of communication with representatives of such professions contributes to the motivation and formation of human-centered orientation of applicants for legal professions, future lawyers - defenders and representatives of human rights.
This meeting took place within the framework of the signed Memorandum on cooperation between the National Aviation University and the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
We continue to cooperate on a common legal future together!!!
