On June 5, 2024, within the framework of professional internship for first-year students of the Bachelor's degree program at the Faculty of Law, lawyer Oleksandra Paramonova conducted a master class on the topic "Jurisprudence – Business – Art."
The experienced practicing lawyer characterized the state of development of national jurisprudence, its transformation at the present stage, and compared jurisprudence with business and art. "I believe that when a person has found their place in life, when their work is their hobby, when a lawyer and jurisprudence are their hobby – that is their life," noted Mrs. Oleksandra. The invited guest also expressed the opinion that jurisprudence is not only a profession and business. It is also an art, the ability to virtuosically solve problems not only with the help of well-known but also independently invented tools.
According to Oleksandra Paramonova, today the most important competitive advantage in the labor market is the ability to respond quickly and use modern technological tools to successfully resolve legal situations. At the same time, the client must be confident in the reliability of the legal defense, trust the lawyer they turn to for help, and be confident that their case will be properly considered.
After completing her speech, the lawyer answered numerous questions from the students, including: What was the first case of defending a client and what did it teach? How can the experience of working in the prosecutor's office be evaluated? How might the legal profession change in the coming years? How to find a work-life balance? Are there cases from which you refuse to defend and why? How to avoid professional burnout?
The meeting ended with words of gratitude from the students and the expression of positive impressions about the event.
