On May 16, 2024, at the invitation of Sukhumi State University (Tbilisi, Georgia), scientific and pedagogical staff of the Faculty of Law took part in the International Scientific Conference "Policy of the European Union on Corporate Social Responsibility".
The conference was organized within the framework of the implementation of the Jean Monnet project (EU program - ERASMUS +), the purpose of which is to activate the European integration discourse, promote the excellence of European integration studies, involve higher education institutions in the study of European integration processes and spread the ideas of a United Europe.
This event took place within the recently concluded Memorandum of Cooperation between the National Aviation University and Sukhum State University.
The Rector of Sukhum State University, Professor Zurab Khonelidze, addressed the participants of the conference with a welcome speech and presented a topical report on the topic "Georgia's European Choice".
During the event, scientific and pedagogical workers, business representatives from Georgia, Germany, Lithuania, Ukraine and other countries of the world discussed issues of European development of Georgia, economic and legal aspects of European integration, lessons for the EU in the conditions of a full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war, introduction of social business in Lithuania , constitutional rights and social responsibility in the field of health care, experience of EU countries in measuring poverty and others. Head of the Department of Theory and History of the State and Law, Olena Makeieva, was involved in the scientific committee of the conference and gave a speech "Legal regulation of corporate social responsibility: European and national standards."
During such events, international scientific cooperation is strengthened, experience of European cooperation is gained, which contributes to the positive image of the Faculty of Law of the National Aviation University at the international level.
