On May 16, 2024, the Faculty of Law hosted the VII International Youth Scientific Legal Forum for Science Day.
The main goal of the event was an open dialogue, which is not only an opportunity for the participants to exchange their opinions and test their theoretical work, but also a convenient opportunity for new acquaintances, informal communication, getting unforgettable impressions, which is important for young people, in particular for students and graduate students of the Faculty of Law of the National aviation university with the aim of their formation as researchers of legal science, future specialists and worthy citizens of their country.
Scientists, state and public figures, judges and practicing lawyers from 10 countries of the world, 12 regions of Ukraine, 23 institutions and organizations, and 33 institutions of higher education joined the discussion of the problems of modern legal education.
Opening the event, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Law, Doctor of Law, Professor Iryna Sopilko congratulated all participants and expressed her gratitude to all partners who have supported the Faculty for many years and help implement scientific projects. "Formation of conscious and educated youth is an invaluable task of Ukrainian society. At this fateful and defining moment in the history of Ukraine, we need a generation of critically thinking leaders, highly qualified lawyers, who would change the paradigm of Ukrainian progress and lead our state on the right path," she said.
Congratulating the participants, Acting Vice-Rector for Scientific Work of the National Aviation University, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Serhii Hnatiuk noted: "Such events are extremely important when a large number of young people take part in scientific events, there are prospects for where to strive and where to move. If there are young people in science, this indicates that there will be a future for our University and our country."

During the work of the forum, important issues for our country were considered, related to the need to improve legislation in order to bring the aggressor state to justice, ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men at the level of international and national law, current challenges faced by the expert service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the commission of criminal offenses by military personnel and insufficient guarantees of compliance with the principles of international law, etc.
The proposals and recommendations expressed by the forum participants will be implemented in the educational process, used for further scientific research, and will also serve to improve the national legislation in the context of its adaptation to the norms and requirements of international standards.
