On May 9-10, 2024, PhD in Law, Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and History of the State and Law and the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law of the Faculty of Law, Interpreter, and Teacher of English at the Integration Center – the Trnava Archdiocese Charity Support Center, Trnava Archdiocese Charity in Slovakia, Oksana Myronets, together with Kateryna Vodolaskova PhD in Law, Advocate, In-house Lawyer of Boryspil International Airport State Airport (Ukraine), Doctorate student at the Institute for Air Law, Space Law and Cyber Law of the University of Cologne, a permanent stakeholder of the Faculty of Law, participated (offline and online) in the IX International Meeting “New Space Activities: Challenges and expectations”, which was held at the University of Jaen in Jaen, Spain.
As part of the central theme of the international event, the following issues were discussed:
- Space Law and Policy;
- Space Education and Outreach;
- Night Sky Policy and Management;
- Astrotourism;
- Space Economics;
- Space Science and Technology.
Kateryna Vodolaskova presented a report accompanied by slides on the theme “Space technologies for defense purposes and the lessons of the war in Ukraine for the armies of the countries worldwide”, and Oksana Myronets made a presentation on the theme “Humans with integrated implants in the space: legal and ethical challenges”.
As a result of the high evaluation of these speeches, as well as on the initiative of the stakeholder Mrs. Kateryna, the doors of further scientific cooperation with the scientific community of Spain were opened to the Faculty of Law of NAU.
