On May 7, 2024, a guest lecture by Oleksandr Riznyk, an arbitration manager and lawyer, on the topic "Current Issues of Proceedings in Bankruptcy Cases" was organized and held at the Faculty of Law within the framework of the study of the academic discipline "Legal Regulation of Bankruptcy" for students of the Master's level of higher education.
The moderator of the meeting was the head of the department of economic, air and space law Liubov Netska".
Referring to his own experience and judicial practice, Oleksandr Yuriyovych explained the meaning and consequences of bankruptcy for legal entities and individuals, separately focused on the features of rehabilitation and liquidation of the debtor, the conclusion of a settlement agreement during bankruptcy proceedings.
In an interesting and accessible way, the lecturer explained the legal status of the arbitration manager, selection of the arbitration manager using the Unified Judicial Information and Communication System and appointment by the court, requirements for his participation in cases concerning certain types of debtors.
Practical aspects of the arbitration administrator's activities, versatile knowledge and skills of representatives of this independent legal profession, their cooperation with other specialists and creditors within the framework of bankruptcy proceedings aroused keen interest among students of higher legal education. The invited guest provided answers to a number of questions related to the application of the current Code of Ukraine on bankruptcy procedures and willingly agreed to further cooperation and new meetings.
