On April 30, 2024, a career guidance session was held for the first (bachelor's) level students of 107B group majoring in "Law Enforcement" 262 with Senior Police Lieutenant Dmytro Subota, who works at the Kyiv Patrol Police Department of the Patrol Police Department of Ukraine and is a 2014 graduate of the Law Faculty of National Avation Univesity.
"On July 2, 2015, after the Revolution of Dignity, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a law that launched the reform of the law enforcement system - the Patrol Police, a newly created body of the National Police, appeared in Ukraine. The first 2000 patrol police officers took the oath of allegiance to Ukraine on July 4, 2015. Since then, there have been more than 15,000 of them. They take care of public safety and order in Ukrainian cities. Patrol police officers maintain order in their area, respond quickly and effectively to offenses, respond to calls via 102, take care of road safety, solve crimes in hot pursuit and counteract crime," said the alumnus-stakeholder.
During the meeting, Dmytro Subota spoke about the requirements for candidates for patrol police officers and outlined the benefits of working in the patrol police. His speech prompted a lively discussion and a number of questions from students about their possible employment after graduation.
Meetings with practicing law enforcement officers allow students to better familiarize themselves with the professions offered by law enforcement.
