On April 24, 2024, the Faculty of Law held a scientific and practical round table "Law enforcement: current state and development prospects".
Representatives of higher education institutions, state and public organizations took part in the work of the practical scientific event, including: Kakha Tsikarishvili - doctor of legal sciences, member of the Union of Legal Scientists of Georgia; Mykola Maliy - doctor of philosophy in law, head of the legal clinic "Phoenix" of the Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, director of the legal company "AYUR-CONSULTING" LLC; Petro Bilenchuk – candidate of legal sciences, associate professor; Ivan Bogatyrev - Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University; Daria Gurina – candidate of legal sciences, deputy head of the laboratory of scientific and organizational support of forensic expert activity of the State Research Expert and Forensic Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine; scientific and pedagogical workers of the department, graduate students and students of higher education majors 262 "Law enforcement" and 081 "Law" of the Faculty of Law.
The participants discussed topical issues of improving law enforcement activities, namely: activities of the expert service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs: tasks and challenges of today; analysis of the case of Schrade v. Georgia and the problem of the lack of effective legal remedies against the delay of trial in the legislation of the Republic of Georgia; prevention and counteraction of space cyber threats in the modern electronic world; prevention of torture of convicts in places of deprivation of liberty.
Based on the results of the scientific event, the attendees proposed valid proposals for improving law enforcement activities, and a decision was made to publish scientific articles on the topics of the speeches in the "B" category "Legal Bulletin "Air and Space Law"".
