On December 8, 2023, as part of the professional orientation work, the Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law of the Faculty of Law, Viktoriya Cherevatyuk, visited the Ternopil Secondary School of I-III degrees № 29 with in-depth study of foreign languages Ternopil City Council, where she met with high school students and held a conversation with them "Practice of conflict resolution".
The goal is to improve students' conflict prevention and resolution skills.
"Legal work is a very multifaceted activity. The term "lawyer" includes a fairly wide range of legal professions, therefore, an important component of a lawyer's professional level is it practical skills and abilities. The ability to resolve various types of conflicts can also be attributed to them," noted Victoria Cherevatyuk.
During the conversation, students were provided with information about the main causes of destructive and constructive conflicts, concepts and styles of behavior in conflicts, finding ways to prevent and resolve them.
During the lesson, high school students actively participated in the discussion and solution of situational tasks, which prompted them to look for ways out of conflict situations.
The participants of the professional orientation meeting did not ignore the issue of conflict prevention related to social networks, as today they are one of the common means of communication among young people. Victoria Cherevatyuk noted that in the conditions of using social networks as a tool of information warfare, conflict prevention can be achieved only if users are able to dispose of information in a reasonable and balanced way.
At the end of the meeting, future applicants were informed about the conditions of admission and the advantages of studying at the Faculty of Law of NAU.
