On February 19, 2024, with the support of the Victor Pinchuk Foundation, a public lecture "US support for Ukraine - a conversation with US political leaders" was held in the conference hall of the InterContinental Kyiv Hotel, in which students of the Faculty of Law Anna Kononenko (PR-101M) and Maxim Lutskyi (PR-403B) participated.
Event speakers: member of the US House of Representatives Brian Fitzpatrick and the 70th US Secretary of State Michael R. Pompeo.
The public lecture was held in English, during which representatives of the Republican Party of the USA discussed with the participants such issues as: 1) providing financial and military support to Ukraine; 2) the policy of Donald Trump and his team regarding Ukraine and its support; 3) additional measures to support Ukraine; 4) the functioning of democracy - the formation of the country on the path of democracy and the achievement of its main postulates; 5) projects related to the reconstruction of Ukraine, in which Ukrainian students can be involved, etc.
"We are sure that Ukraine will achieve its own ideal form of democracy. The main hope relies on young people and their interest", Brian Fitzpatrick and Michael R. Pompeo said during their speeches.
We would like to thank the rectorate of the National Aviation University for giving students the opportunity to participate in a public event and discuss with representatives of the USA current issues related to the support of our state in the fight against an aggressor country.
