On February 13, 2024, Diana Maistro, a senior lecturer at the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure of the Faculty of Law, and Tetyana Luhina, the chief specialist of the citizenship sector of the Dnipro Department of the Dnipro State Medical University in the city of Kyiv and the Kyiv region, held a binary practical session on the academic discipline for students of the 1st year of the specialty 262 "Law enforcement activity" "Judicial and law enforcement bodies of Ukraine".
During the discussion of the topic "System, structure, functions, tasks and powers of the State Migration Service of Ukraine", the speakers stated that the State Migration Service of Ukraine is the central body of the executive power, the activities of which are directed and coordinated by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine through the Minister of Internal Affairs, who implements state policy in the areas of migration (immigration and emigration), including combating illegal (illegal) migration, citizenship, registration of individuals, refugees and other legally defined categories of migrants.
Tetyana Luhina discussed with the students the issue of cooperation between the Central Medical University of Kyiv and the Kyiv region and higher education institutions in the process of documenting foreign students with temporary residence permits, ensuring that foreigners comply with migration legislation, and also outlined preventive measures to combat illegal migration.
At the end of the meeting, the representative of the State Migration Service of Ukraine noted the high level of training of the education seekers, noting that this law enforcement agency needs highly qualified specialists who are currently getting an education in specialty 262 "Law enforcement activity".
