On January 22, 2024, on the significant date of the unification of the Ukrainian People's Republic and the Western People's Republic, on a day that reflects the integrity of our state, it is impossible to forget about the citizens of certain regions and cities of Ukraine, who with their work improve the lives of the Ukrainian people in the face of military aggression and beyond. One of these persons is Yulia Haidarzhy, who is the director of the Center for Social Services of the Odesa City Council, a state expert on social reform, and an expert of the Council of Europe Office.
At the invitation of Inga Balashova, Director of the Training Center for Air and Space Law of the Faculty of Law, an expert of the Council of Europe Office held a webinar on "European integration principles for the protection of human rights and freedoms" for students majoring in 081 "Law".
Yuliia Gaydarzhy told the audience about the interaction of social services with legal institutions, the tasks and principles of social protection bodies, interaction with human rights organizations on the implementation of the European integration principles for the protection of human rights and freedoms and state social programs.
At the end of the meeting, Ms. Yuliia invited young people to cooperate within the framework of the Council of Europe Project "Strengthening Social Protection in Ukraine", implemented by the Council of Europe within the framework of the Council of Europe Action Plan for Ukraine "Resilience, Recovery and Reconstruction" for 2023-2026. The project aims to ensure that vulnerable groups of people, in particular the population affected by the war, enjoy an increased level of social rights and social protection.
