On December 22-23, 2023, the Winter Forum of Legal Clinics was held, organized by the Association of Legal Clinics of Ukraine. Legal consultation "Legal Clinic" of NAU was represented at this event by director Iryna Bohatiuk.
On the first day of the forum, the participants were familiarized with the results of the work of the network of legal clinics under martial law within the framework of the project "Strengthening the ability of legal clinics to ensure access to justice under martial law", which is implemented with the support of the USAID "Justice for All" Program. In addition, Yuliya Lomzhets, Head of the ALCU, reported on the work of the Association's board for the past year and outlined the main plans for 2024. During the discussion, those present had the opportunity to participate in the formation of the agenda and future areas of activity and development of the network of legal clinics.
During the second day of the forum, online workshops were held for representatives of legal clinics: "Ethical aspects in the activity of legal clinics" by Lilia Amelicheva, a member of the Board of the ALCU, "Consulting clients. We train clinicians based on the criteria of the National Olympiad" from the member of the Board of the ALCU Maria Tsypyashchuk, "Non-trivial legal education or how to win the Street Law Hackathon" from the Head of the ALCU Yulia Lomzhets.
This educational activities provided useful practical tools and knowledge necessary for the effective work of a modern legal clinic.
