On May 22, 2013 under the direction of director of the Law Institute Irina Sopilko was held a meeting of section "International legal regulation of airspace" regarding to the XI International Scientific and Technical Conference "Avia-2013". The aim of it was clarification of the importance of the legal component in the regulation of international and national airspace.
During the work of section were discussed issues related to the improvement of national legislation in the field of aviation especially the international legal regime of airspace, whose part is the implementation of international legal norms, criminal law protection of civil aviation security, definition of the concept of legal regime of space and its legal nature, specifics of legal regulation of General Aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles and so on. The importance of scientific researches, which became the subject of discussion of participants, confirms a range of proposals on providing of interaction of national legislation with international law, as well as addition to the Air Code of Ukraine and other normative acts regulating the Ukrainian market for air transport. An important outcome of the section is definition of new and perspective directions of scientific activity of lawyers in the field of aviation that will help to improve competitiveness and ensure the effective work of air transport.
