On December 5, 2023, docent of the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law of the Faculty of Law, Liudmyla Shapenko, together with representatives of the Educational and Scientific Institute for the Development of Education of the National Aviation University, took part in a career guidance event for students of the senior classes of Secondary School No. 161 in Kyiv.
This meeting was held as part of the celebration of the All-Ukrainian Law Week with the aim not only of popularizing legal education, but also of increasing knowledge about the rights, liberties, responsibilities of a person and a citizen, the creation of a legal worldview and legal culture, as well as the awareness of the younger generation of the value of law and its role in the formation of civil society.
Lyudmila Shapenko presented a report on the topic "Ensuring the rights and liberties of a person and a citizen - the main function of civil society", in which the issue of human rights in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948, the basic rights and liberties of a person and a citizen in Ukraine were highlighted, as well as the problems of their limitation in the conditions of the legal regime of martial law.
At the end of the meeting, all those present received informational booklets and learned about the activity of various structural divisions of the university, in particular, features of the organization of work at the Faculty of Law, that is aimed at ensuring the training of higher education seekers of the "Bachelor`s"/"Master`s" degree in the specialties 081 "Law" and 262 "Law enforcement activity".
