On 30 November and 7 December 2023, Oleg Kosovych, a practicing trader of the Binance crypto exchange, PhD in Technical Sciences, conducted a series of practical classes on the discipline "Legal Regulation of Crypto Market Turnover in Ukraine" for students of the second (master's) degree in Law of the Faculty of Law.
The invited guest discussed the following topics with the students: "ICO and IDO - legal specifics and practical application" and "SMART-CONTRACT: concept and legal nature".
During the practical classes, the master students got acquainted with the mechanism of cryptocurrency withdrawal from the exchange and its transfer to the fiat equivalent mode, gained practical experience of registration on a crypto exchange and activation of a cryptocurrency electronic wallet, as well as gained practical skills in working with smart contracts and financial resources through initial coin offering (ICO) in the Ukrainian economic environment.
The future lawyers also had the opportunity to learn how to evaluate projects for crowdfunding and the legal risks in these processes.
At the end of the class, a practicing trader spoke in detail about the peculiarities of working on crypto exchanges for Ukrainian fiat assets in wartime.
