Every year, on December 3, Ukraine, together with the entire world community, celebrates the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, which is designed to draw attention to the problems of such persons, the protection of their rights, dignity and well-being. Now, in the conditions of full-scale Russian military aggression, the number of people with disabilities in our country, unfortunately, is growing rapidly. Therefore, provision of various types of assistance to persons with disabilities, including legal assistance, is an important condition for observing human rights, progress, peace and safety.
The legal consultation "Legal Clinic" of NAU could not ignore this date, because one of the main tasks of the legal clinic is to provide free legal assistance to socially vulnerable categories of the population, including persons with disabilities. Employees and student-consultants took the online course "Protection of the rights of people with disabilities" on the Prometheus platform in order to deepen their knowledge in this area and prepared an infographic that highlights important aspects of ensuring the rights of people with disabilities.
In the civilized world, the health of society, the moral climate, and the image of the state are primarily determined by the attitude towards persons with disabilities, so by protecting the rights of these people, we preserve a human face.
