On November 18, 2023, the XIX All-Ukrainian Legal School on Judiciary in Wartime was held at the European University. Students of the 2nd year of the Faculty of Law majoring in Law Enforcement, Karina Avdyushkina, Valentina Rebeka, and Alexey Medvedev, participated in the school.
During the day, the participants attended master classes from leading judges and practicing lawyers, including: Nataliya Marchuk, Judge of the Supreme Court of Ukraine; Albert Yezerov, Judge of the Supreme Court of Ukraine, Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor; Vladislav Bilotsky, Deputy Director of the Ukrainian National Intellectual Property and Innovation Office, Advisor to the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine; Stanislav Boris, Lawyer, Managing Partner of АО "Vidar", Member of the Board of the Council of the APU on Criminal and Criminal Procedural Law; Anton Polikarpov, Lawyer, Managing Partner of АО "Polikarpov Law Firm"
In their conversations with the attendees, the practitioners shared their experience, discussed the peculiarities of the qualification of war crimes under international and national law, revealed the secrets of alternative dispute resolution in IP and further plans for the development of IP in Ukraine, analyzed the norms of legislation on the protection of patent rights in a state of war, and more.
The training of students at the legal school contributed to a deeper understanding of the problems and prospects of the reorganization of the judicial system, the secrets and methods of work in the field of law, and significantly increased the professionalism and competitiveness of future law enforcement officers in the labor market.
