On 9 November 2023, the Faculty of Law held an online seminar for academic staff and postgraduate students on "New approaches to controlling students' knowledge and skills in teaching economic and legal disciplines".
The event was organised by the Department of Economic, Air and Space Law and featured presentations by Serhii Kidalov, PhD in Law, Associate Professor of the Department of International Law and Comparative Law at the Law Faculty of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, Larysa Milimko, PhD in Law, Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Investigations at the State Tax University, Liubov Netska, PhD in Law, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Economic, Air and Space Law at the National Aviation University, Hanna Kyrychenko, PhD in Economics, Assistant of the Department of Economics of the National Transport University, Bohdan Shcherbyna, PhD in Law, Assistant of the Department of Civil Law of the Educational and Research Institute of Law of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Dmytro Bezzubov, Doctor of Law, Professor, Acting Head of the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law of the Faculty of Law of the State Infrastructure and Technology University, Natalia Khotsianovska, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Economic, Air and Space Law of the Law Faculty of the National Aviation University.
Discussing the forms and methods of controlling the knowledge and skills of higher education students, the participants of the seminar analysed the useful features of digital platforms used in various higher education institutions, noted the criteria for assessing learning progress and their connection with learning objectives, the peculiarities of modern approaches to knowledge control in the training of transport specialists, approved the use of the point survey methodology in teaching legal disciplines to assess students' knowledge, identified the problems of group assessment, and made recommendations on the results of the seminar.
Thanks to the exchange of experience and cooperation, the participants of the event improved their qualifications and scientific and methodological knowledge, and developed recommendations based on the results of their work.
