On November 9, 2023, Veronika Oleshchenko, a senior lecturer at the Department of Theory and History of State and Law of the Faculty of Law, together with students of the 2nd-year student of the Faculty of Law Oleksandr Kuts and Igor Figorniuk, visited the Specialized School No. 159 with an in-depth study of the English language, where they gave a lecture on the topic "Law in the system of social norms".
Veronika Oleshchenko highlighted the place of law and legal norms in the system of social regulation of social relations, focused the attention of high school students on the features that distinguish law from other social norms: universal obligation, establishment and sanctioning by the state, legal responsibility for violations. The teacher stated that knowledge of the law is important and mandatory for everyone, since the norms of the law exist in our everyday life - from the moment of birth (right to life, to a name, to freedom and equality, etc.) and even in our relations with the family , friends, with others. "Even now, at this moment, you are exercising your constitutional right to education, which is enshrined and protected by the Constitution of Ukraine and other legal acts," the teacher concluded.
Ihor Figorniuk, as a student who at one time chose the Faculty of Law of NAU, spoke about the advantages of studying there and why it is worth choosing this faculty to acquire a legal profession: the status and prestige of the educational institution, highly qualified and experienced teaching staff, including candidates and doctors of science , cooperation with stakeholders who provide students with practical knowledge and advice, active holding of various events (master classes, lectures, conferences, thematic discussions, etc.). Also, the student stated that the Faculty of Law has a Legal Clinic to provide legal advice, scientific student groups are organized, a Courtroom is equipped for simulating a trial, and a Forensic Laboratory.
Oleksandr Kuts, as a member of the creative association of students and graduate students, shared with the students information about various types of activities held at the faculty: "Freshman's Debut", "Minus Cup", "Rector's Cup", "Student Spring" festival.
The use of forms and methods of career guidance work by the staff of the Faculty of Law of NAU contributes to the successful professional self-determination of graduates of general secondary education institutions.
