On October 13, 2023, the Civil Law and Trial Department of the Faculty of Law held a scientific and practical round table “The practical component in teaching private law disciplines.”
The purpose of the scientific event was to clarify problematic aspects of teaching private law disciplines from a practical point of view, as well as to develop suggestions for improving current standards in the field of high society and finding the optimal balance between studying the theoretical foundations of jurisprudence and applying acquired knowledge and skills in practice.
The scientific and practical round table was attended by representatives of higher education institutions of Italy, and Ukraine and practicing lawyers, including Valeriia Prokopenko - Doctor of Economics, Professor, Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Economic Security and Customs Affairs of the State Tax University, Professor of the IMT Institute of Advanced Training (Italy), Victor Shcherbyna – Doctor of Law, Professor, Professor of the Department of Labor Law and Social Security Law of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Volodymyr Kroytor – Doctor of Law, professor, professor of the Department of Civil Law and Process, Faculty No. 6 of the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Stella Tsybizova - judge of the Poltava District Court of the Poltava region, trainer-teacher of the National School of Judges of Ukraine, Maxym Khodakivsky - judge of the Zhovtnevoy District Court of Dnepropetrovsk, trainer- teacher of the National School of Judges of Ukraine, Andriy Kashytsky and Iryna Yudina - graduate students of the second year of study, Sergiy Stadnichenko - doctoral student of the first year of study, scientific and pedagogical workers of the faculty.
The participants discussed the features of teaching legal disciplines in higher educational institutions in Italy, methods of preparing and teaching training in a block of civil law disciplines for judges and directly comparative applied labor law for masters of law, conducting a business game when teaching procedural disciplines in higher educational institutions of Ukraine. Special attention was paid to the professional practice of teaching applicants during martial law, the development of legal argumentation skills when solving practical problems of civil and family law, the teaching of private law disciplines in a foreign language, and other pressing issues in the field of teaching private law disciplines.
Based on the results of the round table, the reports of scientists were noted, which are characterized by a high scientific and practical level, and it was proposed to prepare articles and other research and educational materials based on the results of their research.
