23-24 April 2013 in the Law Institute was conducted a discussion on:"Problems of functioning of the social state in Ukraine."
The event was attended by specialist in social work of Solomianskyi district in Kyiv of the Center of Social Service for Family, Children and Youth Alexander Voytenko and Milena Ukolova and students-science club members “Legist” led by Professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law Natalia Pylhun. During the event discussed the problematic issues functioning of the social state in Ukraine, that is: problems of social security of disabled children; cruelty in families with children, orphans and children deprived of parental care; telemedical technology as a way of solving global medical and social issues; state policy in dealing of social protection of young people of Ukraine; domestic violence and child abuse; social vulnerability of older persons; problematic issues of human rights in Ukraine; conflict of generations; corruption as illegal activity; terrorism as an international problem in society; unemployment as a social problem; a problem in small and medium-sized businesses, social problems in sphere of ecology. In the course of discussion was revised thematic video clips, was discussed and generalization of existing social problems in Ukrainian society and moral qualities of the young generation and their role in the state in Ukraine. During the summarizing the participants made conclusions, that society is by nature and the functional content must be highly cultured, with a moral and legal values and not indifferent to the problems of socially vulnerable groups. The youth of Ukraine should promote socialization of humanization and actively participate in social and public life.
