On September 18, 2023, under the guidance of a psychologist and senior lecturer of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of Professional Education at the Faculty of Linguistics and Social Communications, Maria Patrul, future psychologists Maria Hordiychuk and Oleksandr Pavlenko (group PP-426) conducted a training session on the topic 'Building Resilience in the Educational Environment During Wartime' for the residents of Dormitory No. 13 at the National Aviation University.
The initiative for this event came from the Student Council of Dormitory No. 13, represented by the acting chairperson Daria Matviieva and the first deputy Yevheniia Mospan.
The training consisted of three parts: an introduction, a theoretical section, and a practical section. Education seekers specializing in 081 'Law' and 262 'Law Enforcement' were introduced to the concept of 'stress' and its types, learned to recognize the main signs and symptoms of stress, practiced several techniques for relaxation and proper breathing, such as 'Scented Candle' and 'Breathing in Waves,' and focused their attention. They also received recommendations from the presenters on how to manage stress in specific life situations. Additionally, law students underwent psychological testing prepared by their colleagues in psychology.
The event took place in a friendly atmosphere, once again confirming that the National Aviation University is a unified 'aviation family'!"
