УIn June and August 2023, students of the Law Faculty: Alexander Overchuk, Yevgeniy Karnakh, Angelika Levchenko, and Yegor Kelemen, underwent tactical training as part of the "Defender of Kyiv" program, organized by the "Alpha Self Defense" Public Organization. The training was conducted with the support of the Department of Youth and Sports of Kyiv.
Under the guidance of highly qualified instructors, specialists from special services, and military personnel, these higher education students worked in teams for five consecutive days. They learned to communicate, understand each other through gestures, effectively manage themselves in stressful situations, and remain conscious in emergency situations.
"Two years ago, we didn't even consider the need for tactical and special training, physical preparation, or imagine that we would have to take these courses and courses in providing pre-medical care. Unfortunately, given the conditions Ukraine finds itself in, we must possess practical skills in firearms, tactical preparation, mine clearance, and tactical medicine," said Angelika Levchenko, the acting head of the student council of the faculty.
While performing exercises in tactical training, students replicated the actions of tactical small groups during a sudden encounter battle. To practice mine preparation skills, they studied explosive devices, their classification, and principles of use. During exercises in tactical medicine, students practiced providing assistance and transporting casualties in combat conditions. After successfully passing the final assessment, all students of the faculty received certificates.
