In order to consolidate knowledge and improve the practical component of the discipline "Fire and tactical-special training", applicants for higher education of the second (master's) level of the Faculty of Law during June 1-7, 2023 took fire training courses.
In the context of studying topics on special tactics, special physical training, personal safety of law enforcement officers, as well as administrative and criminal law, students received a wide range of skills in the use and handling of firearms, in particular: learned to conduct both targeted (at a distance of 15 m or more) and aimless shooting (at distances up to 7-10 m) with single and double shots, from different provisions, with time limits, etc.
"Such methods of shooting have certain, quite significant differences in the technique of firing shots - this applies to firing positions, methods of maneuvering and holding weapons, aiming, descent processing, rate of fire. The ability to quickly carry out preparations for shooting, maneuvering during firing is very important – the survival of a law enforcement officer largely depends on this in case of oncoming fire contact with the offender and in the event of other situations that pose a threat to the life or health of citizens or law enforcement officers," the instructors noted.
The acquired skills in handling firearms will allow future law enforcement officers to perform their duties during industrial practice and during their service in law enforcement agencies.
