To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the birth of Mykola Mikhnovskyi, a set of events of a national and patriotic nature were held at the Faculty of Law.
Thus, on June 16, 2023 the mentors of the Department of Civil Law and Trial together with the students watched a documentary video on the YouTube platform “Mykola Mikhnovskyi is the father of Ukrainian nationalism and the creator of the Ukrainian army”. This material reflects the ideology of a figure in our history, the first ideologist of Ukrainian nationalism, who devoted more than 30 years of his life to the struggle for Ukraine’s independence.
On June 22, 2023 students of the PR-306B group together with their mentor Diana Maistro listened to a lecture during the corporate hour about life path of Mykola Mikhnovskyi, the Ukrainian political and public figure of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
“Mykola Mikhnovskyi is a Ukrainian political and public figure, lawyer, publicist, founder, ideologue and leader of the independent current of the Ukrainian movement of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, one of the organizers of the Ukrainian army, a fighter for Independence, an ideologue of the state independence of Ukraine. In the work of the creator of “Independent Ukraine”, the author presented the history of Ukrainian statehood, which is fundamentally different from Mykhailo Hrushevskyi’s concept of the history of Ukraine, which had a populist character”, – the group’s mentor noted.
The conducted events are designed to acquaint young people with different views on the formation of independent Ukraine and historical figures who contributed to this process.
