The event was opened by the Head of the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure, Sofia Lykhova, who greeted the participants and thanked them for their interest in the problems of information security in wartime conditions. "Information security is a state of protection of the individual, society, and state from information of harmful or illegal nature, which has a negative impact on human consciousness and impedes the sustainable development of the individual, society, and state. In wartime, disinformation is a form of information warfare and information influence," said the head.
Professor of the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure Oksana Panova made a meaningful presentation on "Media hygiene in wartime: countering disinformation". During her speech, she revealed the purpose of media hygiene, which is to minimize the negative impact of information flows on mental and physical health as well as the social well-being of society. The participants also learned about the essence of the concept of misinformation as a way of psychological influence, which consists in the dissemination of such information (distorted, incomplete, deliberately false), which is presented as reliable and misleads the consumer of such information about the true state of affairs, creating a distorted reality.
Head of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Olena Makeieva, told the participants about the mission of the Information and Education Center for Human Rights, which is to form the legal consciousness and information and legal culture of youth in the context of ensuring the information security of the state.
At the end of the event, students were provided with information about the benefits of studying at the Faculty of Law, in particular, the guarantor of the educational program 262 "Law Enforcement." Oksana Panova revealed the advantages of studying in the specialty 262 "Law Enforcement", the system of law enforcement agencies where students practice, and the employment prospects for graduates of EPP 262 "Law Enforcement". Representatives of the Desnyansky Lyceum showed great interest in the Faculty of Law and offered to organize an excursion to the faculty, the museum, and the hangar of NAU for schoolchildren.
