To mark the 150th anniversary of the birth of Mykola Mikhnovsky, on 25 May 2023, students of the groups PR-101B, PR-102B, PR-103B, PR-104B of the Faculty of Law, together with their mentor Veronika Oleshchenko, paid tribute to the outstanding Ukrainian during a corporate event.
The participants of the event got acquainted with the achievements of Mykola Ivanovych Mikhnovsky, paying special attention to his views on the complete self-sufficiency of the Ukrainian idea, its separation from the idea of the all-Russian idea, the need for Ukraine to gain political independence and achieve unity without regard to possible conflicts.
"The most widespread was a kind of manifesto of the self-determinationists, the Ten Commandments of the UNP. Written in 1903, it became the most controversial document of the independence movement, widely known both in Ukraine and abroad," the mentor noted.
The students enthusiastically discussed the figure of Mykola Mikhnovsky as one of the most consistent fighters for Ukraine's independence and an inspiration for the indomitable national spirit of Ukrainians.
