On 18 May 2023, the Law Faculty hosted a panel discussion of the VI International Youth Scientific Legal Forum on the thematic area of Constitutional and Administrative Law, Administrative Process, Information and Financial Law.
The event was moderated by Iryna Ustinova, Head of the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law, PhD in Law, Associate Professor. "Today, Ukraine and the whole world are faced with particular cruelty and disrespect for the greatest universal values. Protecting the rule of law and fundamental human rights in times of war is one of the most important tasks for Ukraine and the international community. The reports of the forum participants are devoted to these topical issues," said the head of the department, opening the section.
The discussion was attended by the academic staff of the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law, invited lecturers from related departments, postgraduate students and higher education students of partner universities.
The 3rd year cadets of the Faculty of State Security of the Kyiv Institute of the National Guard, Matviyets S.Y. and Kamenskyi M.A. told the audience about the multicomponent theoretical and legal aspects of the functioning of non-state actors in the security and defence sector, focusing on the rights and freedoms of military personnel under special legal regimes. Myroslava Olkhovyk, Assistant of the Department, and Mariana Denysiuk, a student of the group PR-203B of the Law Faculty, presented a report on the legal and political aspects of Ukraine's accession to the European Union.
The reports of students from other universities were interesting and informative. Along with the students of the Law Faculty of the National Aviation University, representatives of other universities also took part in the discussion, in particular: Shykeryava D.S., a master's student of Yaroslav the Wise National University (Kharkiv), Romanyuta I.E., a student of the Netherlands University of Applied Sciences (The Hague, the Netherlands), and Dzhufer V.M., a student of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv (Lviv).
The working languages of the breakout session were Ukrainian and English.
