To celebrate the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation, on May 8, 2023, students of the PR-306B group of the Faculty of Law, together with mentor Diana Maistro, watched a documentary called "The Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation" during a corporate hour.
"The Law of Ukraine "On Perpetuating the Victory over Nazism in the Second World War of 1939-1945" establishes the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation, which is celebrated annually on May 8 in order to honor the memory of all victims of the Second World War of 1939-1945. Introducing this memorable date, Ukraine sought to join the European tradition of celebrating victory in World War II, honoring all fighters against Nazism and victims of war," said the mentor of the group.
Watching the documentary allowed each student to realize the importance of preserving the memory of Ukrainians who laid down their lives in this terrible tragedy to provide an opportunity for us to live freely. After all, it is extremely important today to remember and honor the feat of those who fought against Nazism and defeated it. War is not only about tanks, guns and large-scale battles. These are destinies, millions of small and big human misfortunes that lasted for years and which, unfortunately, continue today.
