On May 3, 2023, a meeting with the head of the legal service of the State Enterprise "State Research Institute of Building Structures", lawyer, graduate of the faculty in 2011, Yana Yagnichenko, was organized for students of the first year of the "Bachelor" degree of the Faculty of Law.
During an interactive session on the topic "Practical advice in the field of contracting by state-owned enterprises", a graduate of the faculty introduced students to the peculiarities of contracting in the public sector, one of which is direct subordination to state authorities, which has a restrictive nature compared to the private sector. "The public sector in the service market has advantages in terms of price, and it is also important that the level of responsibility towards the customer is very high," the speaker noted.
The invited guest said that the institution in which she works directly participates in the reconstruction of damaged and destroyed buildings as a result of the war crimes of the Russian Federation on the territory of our country. "The bright result of our work is the restoration of a residential building on Lobanovskyi Street, which was hit by an enemy rocket," the speaker gave an example.
The speaker also shared with the students her own experience in building a legal career. "My life's dream is to work at the State Space Agency of Ukraine. While still a student of the Faculty of Law of NAU, studying at the department of transport law, together with a student group we worked on the development of the Air Code of Ukraine and some of our developments were implemented in this code. That is why it is important to realize oneself in a professional direction even during the student days. Communication is the first thing that students should start improving in themselves from the student bench. Proper communication skills will give you experience, customers, and help. Be constantly in the information space. A lawyer without information is like a boat with a hole. Study throughout your life" Yana Yagnichenko said at the end of her speech.
