Within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement, on March 13, 2023, teachers of the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure of the Faculty of Law took part in a scientific conference organized by the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of the Marie Curie-Sklodowska University (Lublin, Poland).

This year, colleagues from the West Bohemian University of Pilsen, Czech Republic, teachers of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of the Polish University, scientific and pedagogical staff, graduate students and students of the Law Faculty of the NAU joined the conference.

From the scientific and pedagogical staff, the Faculty of Law was represented by: Head of the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure, Doctor of Law, Professor Sofia Lykhova, who made a report on the topic "Criminal liability for illegal imprisonment and kidnapping under the Criminal Code of Ukraine" and Ph.D., Associate Professor, Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure Tetiana Lysko, presenting a speech on the topic "Criminal liability for enforced disappearance under the Criminal Code of Ukraine".

The speeches of the participants concerned the issues of criminal liability for crimes against the will, honor and dignity of a person under the legislation of Ukraine, Poland and the Czech Republic. It is noted that the main problem is that not all countries have fully implemented conventional rules on liability for illegal abduction, imprisonment and enforced disappearance of a person. Leading scientists from the above-mentioned countries have proposed their own proposals for compliance with the norms of the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearances, on the example of Ukraine's adoption in 2015 of the Law of Ukraine "On Ukraine's Accession to the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearances".

It should be noted that today, under martial law, this topic is extremely relevant, and the exchange of experience with colleagues from other countries will contribute to the introduction of proposals by scientists to improve domestic criminal legislation.
